Well I plan on trading my strat for a nice acoustic, but I'm not sure of the model. This was a gift from a relative and he never gave me full details.

It's a natural wood with silver details. I know it's a Mexican 03/04 made strat, the serial # starts MZ3..

I have not been able to find a similar model. Im pretty sure it is not a standard strat and it has a "Fender Special Edition" sticker on the back of the neck.

I do not have personal pics at the moment but I saw this and it looks very similar to mine besides the neck writing. http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Stratocaster ... 6328036522

There is also a sticker on mine for the Fender super bullet strings.

If anyone has any idea what specific model this might be that would be great, thanks!

Not too sure, but it might be a 50's or 60's reissue.

Judging by your three clues and WITHOUT a pic of your guitar:
1. Z3... serial number
2. Special Edition decal on back of headstock
3. Natural wood body similar to the one in the link you provided

You more than likely have a special edition ash body Mexican Standard Strat. Fender did a run of these back in 2003-2004. Many of them were sold through Guitar Center. I almost bought the Telecaster version back then. It is basically a Mexican Standard of that era, the only difference being it has a nice ash body instead of alder. The dead giveaway is the natural finish and special edition decal (there were no regular production natural finish MIM Standatds).

Sorry I don't know what it is worth. Special Edition doesn't always mean rare for a modern Fender. They pump out tons of guitars. Your best bet would be to contact Fender customer service with the serial number for exact details and specs.

Metroplis is absolutely corect. Value is the going price of a similar condition MIM std plus ... say $50 or so. About $400 if pristine, give or take. It is a pretty cool guitar. I'd recommend you consider keeping it.
