When I bend my high E string between the 9th and 11th fret's the note just dies.(or mutes)How do I fix this.
Guitar is a 50's road worn.

Raise the height of the string is a temporary fix.

Then take it to a repair person when you have time and tell them your woe. I strongly suspect its little more than a height issue coupled with a marginaly high 12 fret.

When this happens I will use a good amount of lubrication to free the stuck string...oh sorry...I thought this was a G-string issue. E strings suck because you can't make any jokes about them. I think we should call all of the stings G-strings:

G-String in the tone of E
G-String in the tone of A
G-String in the tone of D
G-String in the tone of G
G-String in the tone of B
G-String in the tone of E

Then all of our string problems could be accompanied by an appropriate G-string joke. Otherwise we only have a 1 in 6 chance of being able to giggle about G-Stings.
