The spring from my trem arm dropped out. Do you just drop it back in the hole where you screw the trem ARM in?

I dunno but I'm going up to Sam Ash right now to get one.

I just got back with my spring. I talked to the guitar tech there and he showed me that it's just dropped into the hole, then screw the arm in there. A good idea is when you unscrew the arm to put it in the case, you should also take out the spring and put it in a little container with the arm in the case.

A little drop of glue into the trem hole and your spring will be fixed forever
Otherwise just a little drop of petroleum jelly will do it for a while.

I can't see how the spring would stay fixed being flexed and unflexed constantly.

The main point is to prevent it from dropping down from the trem hole so you just need to fix its base to the base of the trem hole..
Nothing more.
everybody do that .

It wouldn't stay attached to the base.
