I emailed Meguiars and it was confirmed that the Fender Instrument Care Kit is no longer being made. I also asked them to tell me if there were direct Meguiars brand replacements. Here is what I was told:

"Those products were a little different from our normal automotive products, but we do have some that are very close. For the swirl and haze remover, you can use SwirlX. For the polish and conditioner, you can use Deep Crystal Polish or the #7 Show Car Glaze. For the mist and wipe, you can use Quik Detailer or the #34 Final Inspection."

Hope this helps those who are looking for an alternative to the Fender branded kit.

Or........there are a lot of other brand names, that are quite good.

This is true too. I just happen to like the Meguiars stuff, so if I can perpetuate my use of it all is good and I thought that others might find it interesting also.

The one thing I like about the newly recommended products is that I can get more of them for less than the instrument care kit and at more places.

I allways wondered about this, but I just wasnt too sure. I was tempted to get a large bottle but I absolutely hate wasting my money on something that potentially didnt work as good. its one of my pet peeves...

But anyway, turtle wax does one too I think- I may have to investigate that further when I go to the auto supplies shop next-

Thanks for the info! :D

Thanks for that info Markara as I loved that cleaning kit also. I am down to my last one, I really dont understand why they parted as it was a popular kit.
