Does anyone know how i can get me a fender wilkinson split nut?
My 1987 Strat plus needs one and i really want my strat to be in its original state so no LSR for me.
i've googled all over the place but the ones i can find come with a strat attached to it.

I would be very very thankfull if i could get one.

(by the way, i mean the split version, not the one that came later.

Please help!

Greetings,
Josse

Good luck, Fender used those for about 1 year at the most before going over to the full nut. I see these on eBay from time to time, but the last one went for around $45!!!! i was shocked but for someone wanting to restore a 87, early 88 Plus, I guess it would be worth it!

Yeah that's going to be hard to come by. I bought the second version of the wilkinson rollernut on ebay for about $22. I usually keep an eye out for them, but never ran across the split nut.

Hey Jossett, don't know if you ever found one of these, but there's one on Ebay so I figured I would let you know.

Josset now there is no excuse.lol If it was me I am winning that auction, so wait for the last 10 seconds and put a high bid of $100 dollars and you will probably win it for $45 to $55 but in the long run you will have the original part that will keep your ax at its max value. You never know when you will see one again and why take the chance of one day saying I should of grabbed it when I had the chance. Just the way I think.

Jeff Beck uses the Wilkinson roller nut on his personal guitar, although the Custom Artist JB Strat features the LSR.
