I know the headstocks and the frets are the most noticeable differences but can any tell me more about these 2 models?

I am going next weekend to check out one of each at a local dealer a few hours away. $550 is the price for both.

The 2007 (newer) is in the rare Daphne blue with rosewood and new old stock never played.

The 2002 is Translucent Royal blue with maple and aside from 2 small small dings it is a 9.5 out of 10 condition.

Can anyone provide more feedback about what to expect with the differences between the 2 models? Do both have the greasebucket? $550 seem reasonable for either assuming they are in the condition listed. I've chosen these 2 colors because they are some of my favorites and also seem a little bit more rare to find, especially the Daphne blue.

Thoughts, feedback, ideas? thanks in advance!

The newer model has a larger headstock, hotter pickups, jumbo frets, and a satin finish.

I think the newer one also added the greasebucket circuit

thanks for the replies and the video link as well. It is a tough call because I like both guitars, but I have a 09 HWY 1 Telecaster and it is killer.

I think I am going to go with the 07 in Daphne blue because it is brand new, a rare color to find and the upgraded pickups. I really like the transparent finish of the 02 but the more I read about the older HWY 1's the more I hear about how the pickups weren't as nice as the Alnico III's and how the tuners were upgraded as well. Plus I figure if they are the same price go for the NEW guitar.

Pro's of 07:
New, Rare color, better Pups, jumbo frets

Cons of 07:
larger headstock (preference I like the small hstock better)

Pro's of 02:
Transparent finish, small headstock

Cons of 02:
used, a few dings, old style hwy 1 pups, frets more worn

I wasn't until I got it today and found out the seller accidentally sent me a Honey Blonde and Rosewood instead of Daphne Blue! Not how I wanted to start my day, I was all set to give her a setup and play but now I have to send this one back, hope he has the Daphne Blue and wait a little longer.
