I'm putting a new bridge on my Strat that uses 2 bridge studs instead of 6 screws. Does anyone know what size drill bit I need to use for the inserts to fit tight? Also how deep? Thanks Bill

Hi BBill: look about a quarter way down on this page of a currently running thread:

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... &start=495

That guy talks way too much, but his information is good on this issue: he has done several six-screw to two-point conversions. The pivot posts are not identical from Wilkinson to Fender, but near enough that the same principles apply.

Good luck! - C

Thanks- I got the bridge from Stratsphere on E-Bay but it didn't come with the inserts-only the studs. Guitar Parts Resource had genuine Fender inserts and studs. Should be here Monday! Don't want to bugger up a perfect body!
