Hi Everybody--

Does anybody have a very general handle on what a reasonable price for a used John Mayer Cypress Mica Strat would be?

I know they listed for $2142 originally (new), but what is a reasonable price for after-market nowadays?

I could not find it listed in the Blue Blook, which is why I am asking here.

Thanks again!

-Greg B

you're looking at about 1300-1800 on a good day.

got mine for 1100 used before the hype with them came out.

First of all the Cypress Micas were never more than 2 grand new, I should know I bought mine brand new in 2007. They were only 1499, and were sold out way before the Fender Price Hikes. Unless that price you put was the MSRP

Yeah, that was the MSRP that I quoted.

But really, all of that doesn't mean much. I want to know what a good price TODAY would be for a used one. (Mint condition, but still considered used.)

And the answer is....

$1625!!!!!

Which I just won on EBAY!!!

Here is what the owner said about it. (It still has the plastic coating on the pickguard!!!))

"Hi Greg, It is mint, the exact condition in which we received it new originally. There one or two very, very slight blemishes, but no more than I could find on any other new Strat (too small to be photographed). The serial number is SE05268. Thank you for your inquiry!! - James"

I feel like celebrating!
