I've been a strat guy for many years now... but, my undying love is fading. My new Cort Source (a relatively low end 335 copy) just arrived after a lenghty back order and OMG, it's awesome. The woody tone, sustain and overall playability of this guitar for $399 is amazing. I haven't touched my strat since it arrived a week ago. I'm sure some of it is new guitar fever but I've never so instantly become attached to an instrument.

If anyone is looking for a cool 335 copy, this is it...highly recommended!

Congrats on the new guitar. It looks awesome. You are in the honeymoon phase, after a while you will pick up the Fender a little more often.

I know for me I played Fender years ago, went through several different brands over the years and I returned to Fender. I do believe that there are different guitars for different stuff. Always good to have a hollow body guitar in the mix.

Thanks for the pics and enjoy that baby.

Same here, mate. :D
I got an new Epiphone Dot Studio in februari and absolutely love it. It only costs 229 EUR (299 USD), but is one of my favorite guitars at the moment.

I have the same type of situation only reversed. I have a Greatsh 5120 in black. I love the guitar. It sounds beautiful pluged in or not. It is great for finger picking but found it a little clumbsy for faster music and some lead work. I thought it was just my lack of skill.
Three weeks ago i picked up a Strat and as soon as i touched the fretboard my fingers flew. I was very pleased. The hollowbody sounds beautiful but i can really rock out easier on the strat for sure. With the Fender it is also easier to just sit on the couch and play around with licks. Im sure after the honeymoon i will pick up the Greatch but for me its a differant style of music

:D

Happy New Guitar Day. Nice looking guitar. I'm sure your Strat is jealous.

This is why I can only own 1 guitar at a time. If I play one of them, I feel like I'm cheating on the other one.

If your Strat is feeling neglected you can send it to me and I'll make sure that it gets the attention it needs lol.
