This topic came up in another post and it is a very common ailment in many guitars (not only Fenders) with bolt on necks.

What is the proceedure to align a bolt on neck. The only solution I have come across was in another web guitar forum and that writer suggested that you should loosen all four mounting bolts a quarter of a turn and physically pull the neck into alignment and then re-tighten.

Any thoughts?

I always do the method you described. I usually loosen it a little more though, and have someone else hold the neck in place. Im always afraid if I dont loosen it enough and I pull on it Im gonna crack something.

Its the only way to do it, other than rerouting the trem and pickup cavities.
