If its used I would bring it in for a complete set up. I had this done it's great! only about 60 bucks. That is of course you don't know how to do it yourself

After setting it up the way you like (neck and trem) change strings every so often and give that rosewood board a quick scrub with a light toothbrush and use some lemon oil (fender fretboard conditioner works well) on it. And She'll treat you right!

Just make sure that you don't subject it to extremes of heat, cold and humidity, wipe down the strings and neck after playing to prevent crude and oils from sweat building up.Keep the strings at standard pitch and change one at a time as removing them all at once can fool up the vibrato and is a bugger to set back up.Make sure that the action stays the same by adjusting the truss rod or get a tech to do it if you're not up to the task. Use only cleaning products approved for guitars as some commercial cleaners can scratch the finish or even have a chemical reaction that could damage it.Keep it in the case when not in use, keeping it on a stand makes it vulnerable to getting knocked over also most stands have rubber padding and the oils from the latex can react with the finish and damage it.Love it like a pet.
