Looks like they have several different series from 1988.

Well, I paid the money and looked at every page of every Fender catalog between the 1970 and late 1990s and never found a #17 Bahama Green. I did learn a lot more about Fender colors. It must have been a special order color???? or ???

Interesting find Xhefri- I have never come across it myself.

Although as this may interest you-

This guy has been trying to sell this for a while :) Perhaps he is asking too much

Actually- didnt the Fender Performer come in that colour?

Hello, I'm thinking there are some much more in the know than I regarding this strat plus color deal, and would like to ask for any possible clarification on....what i've been handling for 10-15 years ???

I have some knowledge of fender colors, and my instrument just doesnt match what most describe as surf green, or seafoam green....some even saying blue.

When I check a few pictures i find when googling, pic's of 'bahama green', my immediate reaction is - 'that looks right'

Curiosity is my main motivator here.

Perhaps my photos may add to the mix.

Thanks for the info posted so far as it has been a joy to come a little closer to the truth...yet still walking away confused :)

I'm new here and unsure how to post my photos , so the following are photobucket links :

The 'AG or C" marking in pick up route would lead me toward aqua green....or...aqua cream ;)

Thats a very nice Taos Turqoise strat you have there! It wasnt listed on the fender colour charts, but they are out there and they are very sought after :)

Thank you in kind...very much appreciated.

I have written that color down and will file it in the case.

prior, when people looked at it and said, "ah, thats seafoam green" I just looked at it stupidly...something never did quite equate as it was just too far from the more standard colors most are used to.

Thanks also for the tip re the photo uploads, and my apologies for the prior photos = i looked through them and found i'd used some pretty rough shots in regard to capturing the color precisely. Obviously mines seen some UV's and the exposed & unexposed areas vary substantially.

Yes , for sure Taos Turqoise! I had one and looked high and low and found it for sure.....I have one on my Strat Plus website. Very rare and cool color. and it does look like the stone "Turqoise"

Thanks for the confirmation Xhefri.

Also enjoyed your webiste over a Sunday morning coffee.

I'm a sucker for the colors Fender used on the plus series and enjoyed seeing your 95/96 graffiti yellow plus. I keep a few of the 50th Anni labelled fenders and have been watching for something in the graffiti yellow & a shell pink....so to see the 50th anni in the yellow was enjoyable.

All the best to you and thanks from Australia for the work you have put into your passion as it's a great resource so so many like myself.

one for fun :

Here is my problem. When I do a search on google for images for Sea Foam Green, I get a ton of images just like this Strat. Also you get a lot of people who have Surf Green (a lighter, whiter, pasty green that they mistakenly call Foam Green). When you do a search for Bahama there is almost nothing!

So then people have, what looks like to me to be Sea Foam and the they call it Bahama just to make it "rare" or from "ignorance" or because, maybe it really is!!! Fender sure did not make many of them and it still has not been proven conclusively to me! There is some pretty good evidences, but nothing right now that would win a $1,000,000 law suit!

Did you notice in this auction listed above, which the guy is asking $3800 for, the auction title says Surf Green, then in the description it says Sea Foam Green and then in the comments made in the question section, someone is suggesting it is Bahama Green..... :p

It does exist. I have been the proud owner of an 1989 Bahama Green Strat Plus since new I bought it at Long and Mcquade music n Edmonton, Alberta. It does have the Lace Sensor pickups and they are nice and quiet. The neck is maple and thats about it. I would like to know how many were made in this color, just for shits and giggles.
