D'Addario 11's with wound 3rd string. Every now and then I try 10's but I always end up preferring the 11's.

Elixir 10-46. Try Elixir strings, it's really worth it, they got this nanoweb coating.

I'm currently using the standard strings that come on the Strat but I soon plan on moving up to this set: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/DAddario-EXL115-Nickel-BluesJazz-Electric-Guitar-Strings?sku=100192, which goes from high to low: .011-.014-.018-.028w-.038w-.049w

How 'bout you guys?

I use these .011 D'Addario strings! Excellent for rich blues tone, yet flexible if tuned down a half-step. I raised my bridge to 7/32" so I can slide, yet play any style of music. With Lace-Sensors, this produces a rich, warm tone, especially when the p/u selector is on the Bridge/Middle position. I use 4 springs for the tremolo--the strings respond better than all of the 1,000,000 (sic) brands I've played over 40 years.

Over time, I have moved down from 11's to 10's to 9's to avoid problems with my hand. I know of a pro Blues rocker who uses heavy strings (13's?) and it is starting to take its toll.

D'Addario 12 - 54. So far the only ones I don't break every night, plus good tone for blues!

I am currently using 11's. GHS & Elixir normally. Hard to beat GHS for the money! Unbelievable tone through my 50th Anniversary American Standard and Peavey 15" Delta Blues Tube Amp! Every Strat owner needs a Tube Amp in my opinion. I'll never play any other electric.

GHS Boomers .010 - .046 on my Squire Std. Stratocaster

I can't explain it... there's a lot of color to the sound. I can play those things without the guitar plugged in, and they still sound great to me. Anything smaller sounds to me like rubber and feels like spaghetti.
