Hey all,
I read on post a few times comparing the polyurathane on US Standards and Nitro on highway 1. I've heard lots of different views and thought I should add mine an see if any one thinks I'm nuts. After playing both I have to say the HWY 1 is a better sounding guitar. The tones were richer and sustained longer then the Standard. I'ld read before that it's because the nirto finish lets the wood breathe and resonate better. Does anyone know if this is true? Also does this mean the norto finsh will age better or worse then the polyurathane standard?

They are both fine guitars. Let your ears and eyes be the judge as far as the sound and looks go. The nitro will relic itself if you play your _ss off with it, the poly will keep the finish shiny. It's one of those questions where if you ask 10 guitarists, you'll get a variety of answers I think.
