Hi everyone! I recently picked up a 2003 Antiguga Strat Japan re-issue with the tremolo arm missing. I tried to use some of the different standard arms I have lying around and nothing fits correctly. They almost scrape the body when I try to install them. I took the tremolo assembly apart and it looks to me like the hole that's machined / tapped for the arm is crooked. If you look at the front of the block the hole is drilled in an upward manner. Either this is a special arm or the block is drilled wrong. I came across some photos / postings on the web and youtube and it looks like it's supposed to have the longer vintage type black tipped arm. There's no parts listing for this model in the fender support links. I'd like to have the proper factory tremolo setup that came with the guitar. Thanks in advance for any replies........Whipman

I almost always mod the vibrato arms of my Strats when I get them as they are usually not to the angle I like ,usually too much of a bend in them. I simply wrap some foam around the threads and tape it up and then clamp it in the vice and gently bend it a lttle at a time 'til I get the desired angle.I have yet to break one using this method.
