I got a 1964 Gibson LG-0 for $100

Back in '88 I bought an old Gibson V for $250. The guy I bought it from was really needing money quick, I had the most money in my pocket when the deal was struck. Awesome guitar. Used it for a straight trade on a New Jackson V. The Jackson was also a nice guitar; however, I got robbed. Never trade anything until you know its true value.

Best deal I have gotten so far was on a Superchamp XD. When they were still selling for around $380 I found one on sale at G.C. and was able to use a discount coupon I had and got it for $239.

don't think i can top the grass trade. but i got an 06 diamond anniversarry strat for a carvin x100b amp head. i pd 600 for the head and the guitar was as close to new as possible. still had the original strings on it
