Here is mine it is a 1981 G&L SC-1..It is one of 250 made and is even more rare because of the fact it is a dual fulcrum tremolo and still has the OHSC...According to the guitars by Leo website this is one of 77 known to still exist..I also have this guitar registered on that website..I bought it off of the St Louis Craigslist and was even honest with the seller telling them i knew it was worth way more then the $150 i paid for it..They still went through with the sale..[/img]Image

I bought a 2001 MIM Strat a few months ago for $20. It was a little beat up, but couldn't beat the price. I cleaned it up and sold it for about $160

I bought it for $20 off a teenage girl on craigslist. She played keyboards in a church band and someone gave her the guitar to learn, but she was giving up on it and put it up for sale. I don't know how long she had it, or what kind of shape she got it in, but the back is where most of the issues were. It had long cracks in the finish in the body. Just in the paint though, the wood wasn't cracked.

Here's a couple more pics

I also bought a mexican tele for $90. It had a bad pickup that cost $20 to replace, sold that for $250 about.

I think it had a chip on the back too, can't remember.

yeah that's a nice guitar, part of the international series, but think those came out in 81.

Let me sweeten that deal for you. I'll take it off your hands for $250 - that way you know you got a great deal and made a tidy profit to boot!

a couple years ago i was at a local music store, and got info about a seminar coming up sposored by ibanez. i put the flyer up by the calendar and forgot about it.

the day of the event, i was running late. when i got home, my wife reminded me of it. i was tired and was not going to go. the missus, knowing how i love playing, convinced me to go.

as i walked in, i got a free ibanez shirt, and signed up for the raffle. at the end larry mitchell, the guy who did the seminar, pulled my name, and i won a brand new ibanez sz320. when i got home my wife said "did you buy another guitar?", i said that i won it. i don't think she believed me until she saw my picture on the web site.

yes-i'm keeping her.
