Hello!

What sort of Strat do you want to make?

I have put a couple of strats together form parts i've picked up of Ebay and or the following sites. I use Stewmac for my necks and mainly Axesrus for component parts (pots, etc). Heres a few links to get you going.

http://www.axesrus.com/axecart.htm

http://www.stewmac.com/

http://www.allparts.uk.com/home-c-276.html

http://www.tonetechluthiersupplies.co.uk/

http://buildyourguitar.com/resources/egb/index.htm

Edit: The Above may not provide you with the best parts money can buy but they've served me very well over the years. Mike Eldred has the best stuff! Do a cost comparason as some builds may work out more cost effective to buy a real Fender

If your up for a chanllenge why not have a go at building your own body. I have been lucky and have been given some nice mahogany body blanks in the past but i'd probably buy from ToneTech when I make my next one. There are some great threads by Ceri and others so check'um out!

Let us know how you get on or if you need any help / advice

Enjoy

Andy

Converse to the sites Andy suggested, I'm a huge fan of Warmoth bodies and necks.

WDmusic is a great sourse for hardware and electronics (consult with member CAfeathers as he is a WDmusic ditributor)

And ofcourse stewmac has everything under the sun for guitars and guitar maint. Best of luck!

+1 for Walmoth and WDmusic.

The Walmoth gear that i've seen was top quality and they're website's very good (lots of nice pics!). I'd totally forgot about WDmusic, again top quality gear.
