This is quiet the stoopid question, and actually I’m rather embarrassed to ask… but embarrassment was never my strong suit, so…

When I received my new Deluxe, I was just like the proverbial kid at Christmas. My eyes were so wide with anticipation and fascination I paid little attention to details and promptly removed the guitar from the case. The guitar went onto a stand or tree and has been there since; up until this past weekend. I put her back in the case and noticed the neck of the guitar does not fit in the “pocket” of the case. And by “pocket” I mean the scooped out are within the case that sits about a third of the way down from the nut. Anyway, this may be normal for this guitar and this case; dunno?

Again, this may be the most noobish question ever, but really, it’s the first guitar I’ve owned like this so… there ya go!

Peace,
84

If it's the new SKB molded case that the Deluxe's ship with then it doesn't fit exactly, I believe because they intended the case for both left/right hand guitars. My experience is that it's held snuggly in place and won't be an issue.

Congrats on your new Strat! :D

That looks like the wrong case or your strap buttons are pushing it the wrong way...

Also, do you leave your strap on when you put it in the case? That can skew the neck a little.

Never leave the strap on or even the strap locks. Strip it down.

Here are a couple more photos of the case.

Well, my case is completely different- it would be useless to show pics... I see what you mean though- I wonder what is causing it

Looks right to me. You have the tuners too close to the storage compartment.

Here's my hotrod in its box. Theres a 50th anni deluxe and a customclassic that are exactly the same as the hotrods case and yours.

My case is just like Nikininja's. My guitar fits fine, maybe the problem with the case is just a minor difference in the position of the u shape for the neck. You can either turn the guitar a little more to get the case to fit the guitar a little better or ask for a different case. Beautiful guitar though!
