Hey Guys,

Just thought Id share something interesting thats popped up down here-
The strat has met a reserve and it's pretty cheap NZ$15k :)

I think that price is a lot lower than you'd expect elsewhere

What an awesome find..

That is a nice strat. Hmmm only if I could!!!

I don't know about you guy's? But everytime I see a Strat like this...I cannot help but think of old Cars, Surf Boards, and everything else to suit that Era....

They truly are time machines....I wish I was there....

Then again I wonder if my two boys will say that about my 08 3 tone Sunburst Maple Neck American Standard Stratocaster in years to come.

I saw a '65 in australia go for AU$30k that was dead mint mate- I can see this one doesnt have the original case, which would affect the re-sale no doubt

OMG, Hey you know it's funny....

They other day I was driving and I saw a bloke wearing a Fender Made In USA t-shirt. They are hard to come by in the stores here.

Anyway after asking him where to buy one in my home town we got to talking about strats...

He told me that about 1 week ago he was doing all the pawn shop rounds and he came across a dealer that was in possession of a 1965 Strat.

My jaw dropped when he said the guy that pawned the strat only got $100 for it. Apparently the guy wanted quick cash.

He further told me that he told the pawn shop dealer that if the person whom pawned the strat only wanted $100 it is possible it's stolen.

The pawnshop bloke replied in saying, "Who gives a $@!& now it's mine, I have found out that it's worth $60,000"

I told him to report it to the police because if it is stolen, imagine how heart broken the owner would be.

Or it is possible that the bloke that pawned it does not know it's true value...

hmmmm old stories on the grapevine...
