Wire Gauge

What is the size of the wire used for wiring up a Strat... not sure if it makes a difference but specifically the wire with the cloth sheath.

22 gauge.

Thanks Martian, I'm going to be installing a pickguard assembly sometime in the near futre and I just want to plan ahead. I don't know how long the wires will be when I get the assembly so I want to have some extra on hand just incase. I'll see if the local electronics shop has any and pick up some heat shrink while I'm there.

I don't think you'll find the cloth covered wire at a store,but if you do let me know where.You can find it online for so much per foot.
