Hi!
I seem to be having a problem with my MIA Standard Strat. The high E string is low by about 20cents, and I even adjusted the saddle all the way against the trem post. Didnt make a difference. What could cause this? The neck is straight, with a little relief, and the bridge is flush to the body, so I dont know what else it could be..
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That sounds really strange. When you tune the guitar, the open high e and high e on the twelfth fret not match? If you need more "room" on the post close to the back of the bridge, you can clip off part of the spring. Or is the problem fret buzz? You're problem isn't clear...

No, the problem is that the saddle wont move forward far enough, and moving the saddle seems to have no effect on the pitch of the note at the twelth fret strangely....The pitch at the 12th fret is like a quarter step down from where it should be.

Is the string slipping on the tuning peg? Just a thought. 8)

Found the issue! Faulty electronic tuner. I tried two others last night and I was able to get it spot on! I feel dumb for not checking that

That's too funny! I was really scratching my head about this issue until you mentioned the tuner. Always have a backup! LOL! The Boss TU-12EX or 15 are great accurate tuners, always have one handy besides using a pedal tuner (way more accurate too!)

I made intonnation on a lot of guitars and since many years and the only tuner I found good for that, it is the Peterson, not the "floor" model but the "table"one.

Almost all other tuners are good one day and the day after is not good. You never know. They tune border the line, not in the middle, so if your neck move a little bit, your out of tune.

Peterson are $300 us but worth the price. If you want to play in tune and stay in tune that's the tuner
