They have this Jeff Beck Special running on the public access channel which is channel 9 here in St Louis ..It is just fantastic..He's playing slower Bluesy/Jazz type music with this female singer who has a voice that is like an angel..
Then there is also a female bass player who looks like she is about 16...But you can tell she is just in awe of his playing..Which i'm sure i would be also if i was on stage with him...
He is going to be playing here April 29th at a place called Fox theater which is a smaller sized venue that has incredible acoustics..I can't wait to see him live..

I watched it too here in GA. The girl on bass is Tal Wilkenfeld (and she belongs there!) and Vinnie Calliouta on drums. They are both beasts in their own right. Beck is a guitar GOD. The girl singing was Joss Stone. Also, at the end, Clapton joined his good friend Jeff Beck for a jam session. SICK!!!!!

That sounds like the jeff beck Live at Ronnie Scott's show..

I bought the DVD last week - simply incredible. It took me years to get into Beck - what was I thinking!

None other than. The OP should have a listen to Beck's set at the Chicago '07 Crossroads Concert. That's where we all got our first look at Tal. Awesome 8)

Yep, have that too.

Couldn't believe it when i saw Tal on Bass - I thought jeez how can this teenager possibly be in Beck's band? Then I shut up really fast when she started playing - she could go on to be the best there's ever been.

Actually it was the Crossroads show that got me into Beck. Before that I always used to wonder what the fuss was all about.. Now I know!

Ever hear of a kid named Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Elton John of the 18th Century? 8)

Same here ... that Crossoads show turned me onto Beck too and Tal! She is amazing. That also where I first saw Robert Randolph and that cat is AMAZING on the pedal steel.

I caught the Beck Show at Ronnie Scott's on Paladia (a cable music channel) and that was a command performance as well. The guy can really play and has a style all his own.

I've got that Ronnie Scott's DVD as well, and it's just amazing. Jeff Beck was the reason I started playing guitar in the first place - and he seems to keep getting better with age!

I got live at Ronnie Scotts on dvd and blue ray... The blue ray has better sound with DTS-hd and has bonus Elvis cover songs witch are awesome.. If you notice Robert Plant is in the back of the crowd and Jimmy Page is in the crowd but closer to the stage then Plant... aslo in attendance is Brian May and John BonJovi..
