This guitar looks cool with the large headstock and the plain maple neck!

That is a cool looking guitar. I find it funny how Root apparently loves the Fender style but not the Fender sound. That's like making a three single coil Gibson.

I must admit it is a sweet looking ax, but no way am I paying that much for a MIM Strat. I would deffinetly put the other $200 together and get a Dave Murray which I am looking to get anyway.

new member here although I've been lurking around as a guest for a while now. Anyway , I just go a Root Strat.

A few things I noticed: the neck seems to have more of a tint than say the corgan strat or the pics shown on websites that have stock pictures; also this one is not MIM, mine says USA on the back. Compound radius is sweet up the neck for soloing stuff, and it does have that little contour on the neck heel, just like his Tele model.
I only have a few quick pics I took yesterday, might post more some other time. here you go...

Thanx ZK….glad to hear from an actual owner…. How is this working with no tone controls?..you just using the amp and the volume pot? I was sure this was MIM as the tele is but the strat is around 8 hundred bucks more so I guess that makes scene. I found the fit and finish very poor on the Tele…Is that the case on the strat, what is your opinion… anyway congrats on the ax hope you have years of fun with it……….Welcome to the forum by the way; you said you have been lurking around so you have probably seen there are some great folks here and 10 lifetimes full of experience. Have a great time here and look forward to your future posts

Cheers

I have not found any flaws in the finish, QC seems to be Ok on this one. I have Les Pauls and an SG and hardly ever use the tone controls, no effects, everything goes straight thru my boogie Mark V.

Why won't Fender make one of these in a lefty version????????????

No love for the lefties, and one of the greatest lefties ever, played a Strat.
