Post subject: CIJ Strat ST57(possibly TX?)

Hi there,
I recently got a 2005 Fender Japan strat ST57 '57 reissue, however im not sure if is the Stratocaster with the texas pickups or the USA vintage pups.
The middle pick up is reverse wound reverse polarity and the coil wires (not sure of tech term) are a dark purple/dark brownish colour.
Can you possibly shed any light on what pup's i've got?
Also, i didn't notice any blue or red dots on the bottom of the pups, but i wasn't looking for them so i could easily have missed them.

Your pups as you describe them sound like they are the same as whats in my 1984 62ri MIJ Strat.

I have been told by a local authorised Fender dealer that they are American 57/62 pickups.

Great vintage tone and really sound awesome.

I don't think your pups are Texas Specials.

were your wires black and pale yellow cloth covered? with the middle pickup having a yellower wire?
also non bevelled pole pieces?

how the character texas special in basswood?

Can you measure their DC resistance?

How much did you pay for that lovely thing? i have a friend whos selling his 1997-2000 CIJ '57 strat for $490 all stock except for the missing back plate. It comes with the original hardcase. Is this a good buy?
