It's been said the awful string buzz I suffer is because of the neck. Can I get some advise on it's adjustment, ie: neck curvature. what exactly am I looking for? Is it possible to completely unscrew the truss rod? Are there any other dangers?

Do yourself a favor and take it to a professional for a complete setup. Improper truss rod adjustments can easily damage your guitar. As you learn more about making adjustments you will be less likly to damage it.

I have a credo I live by when it comes to guitars and gear,That is...The less you know about something the less you should mess with it.I guess that could apply to everything.
