Well, they were made of Alder or Ash, depending on the original finish.

What else do you want to know? (I have a couple mid-'70s Strats.)

well, as seen on the first picture, it was a sunburst finish.
neckshape would be cool to know to, although Jake had
it reshaped and repainted by someone at Charvel that used
to be his roommate :)

The white one IS a Charvel. Check out how the neck and middle pickups are reverse angled. At the time playing Fender Strats was considered pretty 'uncool' in the hard rock/metal scene while Charvel's were all the rage.

So if you are going to build a copy of Jake's white guitar, don't stress about using Strat parts. Warmoth or Stew Mac parts would actually be more "correct" for the build.

Lastly, If I remember correctly Charvel even put out a Jake E Lee model.

Maybe I should've said Charvelized Fender ? but it was indeed the strat
shown above at first :)
the guitar was repainted by an old roomate of Jakes that worked
at Charvel. the same guy also reshaped the neck, painted the headstock
and put the Charvel logo on.

notice the skunkstripe and 3 bolts holding the neck ?
should be a dead giveaway :)

Yup that's the back of a 70's Strat for sure, I've got a '74 myself. All I'm saying is, the white Charvel pictured is really a Charvel. The angled neck and middle pickups should give it away (no Fender EVER had those. Jake was also a Charvel endorsee so he owned and played a lot of them. Build what you want fo course, but you don't need to be "hung up" on 70's Strat specs.

I guess you could call it a Charvel based on all the work it had
done to it :) I'm just stating that it started out as a genuine Fender (sunburst)
his blueburst and purpleburst were genuine Charvels though :)
he used a lightblue Charvel Holdsworth model too :)

i guess i just wanna know if the body is ash or alder :)

Plus two knobs.
