Sorry i thought it was well known

eh its the one where the second tone pot would "blend" some of the bridge pickup into the neck and neck/middle position and blend some neck pickup into the bridge and bridge/middle positions. then the other two are master vol and master tone

Martian if you were able to answer that from the original post I would believe there really is an Alien ship in NJ somewhere.lol bfitz you have the top guy looking at your question who probably knows 20 volume tone mods. So that is why you had to be specific.

In all humility, yes, I do know quite a few. LOL.

No problem and glad to help. See, oftentimes when people say, "blender", it could mean something else such as a pan or ganged pot, etc. Naturally, I wanted to get it right for you the first time.

sound out fella, im pretty excited about the new strat setup esp this blend pot mod!! i heard it sounds pretty cool. im putting in some vintage plus tonerider pickups in there i really cant wait cos i've had some emg's in there till now including an 81 HB and i have really grown out of the chug chug chug sound it doesnt suit my playing anymore and i've found myself playing a CV squier a lot more than the MIM so now ill have 2 vintage sounding guitars each with different sounds cant wait!!

Sounds like a plan! Don't forget, for best results, that blender pot should be a no-load. And yes, if the pot is working correctly, it does indeed work backwards (unless of course, you buy/make a 250K left handed, no-load pot).

It is a normal pot that takes itself out of the circuit when turned all the way up to '10'. Hence the term "no load". You can either buy one or make one yourself.
