With all the talk about the Road Worn series guitars, and artificial relicing. IS there anybody out here with a "real road worn" Strat?

With most guitars having a poly finish nowadays it is less common. But anybody have pictures of older guitars? or even some newer worn guitars. (maybe highway 1's or hot rods)

So share any pictures you have of naturally worn guitars... or even some unique dents and scratches. and as always the story behind these marks are always appreciated.

Now that's what i was talking about. Some real mojo. a guitar with a story behind it.

What model strat is that? looks sweet, and i don't think the finish off the back of the neck is ugly at all. besides thats a comfort thing i'm guessing?

I do own a Highway 1 strat, although i have only owned it for a few months. and the arm contours are showing some shine.

The main reason i bought the highway over the Am Std was the finish. i wanted a guitar that would show wear, and age with me.

One of the guys here at work has a 64 Duosonic. None of the finish is worn off but it has lots of checking. It looks, plays and sounds like crap.

Just a few pics of what my 2002 Hwy1 looks like after 7 years of use.
There is a pronounced decoloration where the right arm rests next the bridge, screws are loosing their shine becoming opaque and grey (I love them that way very much), paint from volume knob numbers has disappeared, pickguard (and back tremolo cover) has became more creamy while pickups covers and knobs still look white, some paint loss and dents and best of all over the edges lacquer is draining into the wood giving a really cool effect (pic. 6)
The neck paint (poliurethane) is very thin and starts to show some light signs of wear, but it is still intact.

Nevin1985 and stratassassin thanks for appreciation. Unplugged has always played very aloud. Plugged in I'd say it seems more warm tone and more balanced after years of daily use, but it could be due to the tube amp aging, who knows? Anyway I love it :)

The "sinking finish" on that highway looks sweet. and yes that is one of the better colours of the series And that '73 has some very interesting wear.

This kinda makes me think. What if instead of making the roadworn series guitars. Fender just made a "do it yourself" kinda thing. Just a series of thin skinned MIM's "designed to wear"

Wouldn't happen, and has several problems. but just an idea. :)
