I am looking at a 2008 MIA Deluxe strat and everything looks fine except I noticed the trem block seems like the old MIM rather than the big chunks of metal I am used to seeing.

THe quality of the block looks fine, just the size is a little weird

Is this the original block? Again, I guess I am used to seeing the high mass blocks on the "better" / newer MIM/MIA guitars and the smaller blocks on the older or Squier brands.

If this is the correct block, just curious whatever happened to the high mass block/sustain way of thinking?
