Thanks to all. I was saying sorry to Ceri for failing to supply necessary info. I know that helps. It also seems as though the Schaller brand is most popular also. Also thanks for the stagger tutorial. That helps in making a decision as well. If staggered tuners don't benifit when string trees are already there no point in having that empty hole exposed.

Sounds then like you most probably have "modern" 13/32" / 10mm pegholes and so, yes, Schallers would be an excellent choice. That way you get the staggered poles too - I really like Jay's "if it's worth doing it's worth overdoing" attitude!

But do please just check that peghole size to be absolutely sure prior to purchase. Just to be certain.

One thing to consider. Both Schallers and Sperzels have a little pin on the back of the tuner that locates into a hole you need to drill. It stops the tuner rotating in its hole. If you have any issues fitting that type of tuner just let us know (it can be a bit fiddly). There's methods...
