Well said, I think many here would agree with that sentiment, including me ^^

I'm sorry guys, but that was not well said in anyway. I found it to be barely intelligible. However, I was able to gleen the fact that the cat is fired up. I got that much. Anyway, enjoy the music. Life is too short to be pissed.

Yep that was hard work. A comma here and a fullstop there goes a long way!

But I got the gist of it even though I found myself holding my breath the whole time I read it.

I believe the gist of the first post was that we should all just enjoy our own preferences when it comes to our choice of guitar, and not worry about what others think. In the final analysis, it's normal for everyone to have different likes and dislikes.

That's how I read it, anyway.

Your opinions are just as important as anyone else's and I thank you for sharing.

But you're getting grammar grief because the post as written IS hard to read. There's a reason that punctuation, paragraphs and capital letters exists ... it's not because it's "proper" but because it makes the written word easier to understand. You don't have to use perfect grammar in a forum, but if want people to read and understand your points, you have to write clearly enough that others want to keep reading. If it's too difficult to read, most people won't bother.

I got your meaning, but it took work.

Hey I would no get mad or offended but take this as a lesson. Not being very computer savy my first ten post here were mostly done in CAPS because I thought it would be easier to read and I can remember Doc telling me it meant I was yelling. Also early on someone asked me to make paragraphs as my post can go on for quite a while at times, and I was told it made them difficult to read. So in actuality it all made me post better. So now just make a concise effort to work on your punctuation as I know to well when I go off on a topic it is easy to write to fast and leave things out.

Personally I agree with the sentiment of your post there completely and unlike others here, I don't really have a problem with the way it was typed. As far as I'm concerned this is -NOT- a grammar forum or a proper English or punctuation forum, it's a guitar forum. It's a shame that some people don't always realize this but not everyone has good typing skills and certainly not everyone that comes here even speaks English.

Please know my friend that you are entitled to your opinions and being a "public forum" you're entitled to voice them however you choose...and if folks don't like the way you do it, just blow them off because they're not really worth it anyways.

Peace,
Jim

(And people snipe about -me- being rude when it comes to my responses around here?????? Give the poor guy a break!!!!!!)

Why oh why does this keep coming up?

Anyway my 2 cents worth . . . .

MIM's are great guitars, they exist to serve another market niche for FMIC. Labor is less expensive, so the guitars can be sold for less money and are available to more people.

My only issue with the MIM "Fenders" (and it's only personal opinion) is that they have the name Fender on the headstock.

To me, Fender means USA made because that's where the company started. If an instrument was made in a plant in another Country I feel that it should be branded as such. I'm not knocking quality or performance, it's just a name thing.

It's the main reason I have more respect for the Epiphone brand than I do for Fender Mexico. Epi is what it is, an offshore subsidary of Gibson that produces great clones of Gibson designs (I own one and it's a great guitar). Epiphone doesn't however feel the need to rely on the Gibson name to sell instruments.

I understand what you are saying and certainly sympathize, but it is not that easy for a novice. As seasoned players we know what to look for and what we like, so it is a much easier process for us to choose a guitar.

For a newb it is more like trying to find a flashlight in the dark. They don't know what to look for, what feels right or what sounds good. If they knew what was right for them, they wouldnt be coming here and asking, would they?

This forum is here to help people through the throws of a decision(s) and it is our job, as those more in the know, to help them as best we can.

Thats my 2 cents.
