I used it for my old unit's coin and recommended the design to Ceri for his Phoenixcaster. I was merely the lucky beneficiary of his talents and generosity when he decided he couldn't use it for his own project. 8)

You're idea was appropriate, and your generosity deserved of his response. I would certainly look forward to his using a variation of the design on the modified neck pocket the project called for. Once he 'recovers' from his beverages, I expect we'll be seeing it to completion. 8)

That's so cool. I would have never thought of a custom neck plate. What a cool touch. Awesome!

Good grief - did it arrive already? That's quite quick: in the end I only got to the post office on Thursday and just sent it regular snail mail.

So happens it just took FedEx eight (eight!!!) days to get my wife some documents from New York. What the heck are we paying these silly couriers for when the ordinary post office can do the same thing over a long weekend? :D

Cheers Trauma - C

It's the irony of marketing, that so few people still use the Post Office for packages, that they are often the fastest option.

Hey Ceri....for your next 'project'.
I bought these off a guy on E-Bay.......I have them on ALL 8 of my Highway Ones!! I LOVE them!!
They really look great and totally 'authenticate' the instruments!
I'm sure some HWY owners on here would scoop them up from you!

not singling you out here, because this kind of post has come up several times. I'm sure it's meant complimentary, but...
You guys realize Ceri has a full time career, and this is part of his hobby, right?

If he started doing projects for everyone who suggests them, he wouldn't have any time to play guitar, take a photography class  , or even notice his wife kidnapping Joe Bonamassa.

Also since he is a hobbyist, and there would be transatlantic delivery, there's no way for him to do that cost effectively.

if you want to make Ceri happy, try it out yourself, and post here so we can all take part in your triumphs and setbacks too.

Gonna have to agree w/ Mr.12Bar on this again.
Ceri is the go to for advice....well him and Martian and Brother Dave and about 40 others...................

Pick Ceri's brain and you will learn , as I am doing on my projects.

Streuth :!:  ... ... ...

Anyway, regarding the previous few posts, the real point is that whoever is making those HWY1 neckplates is doing it by a commercial process which will make them vastly more reasonably priced than some DIY-er like me could ever achieve. And there's companies out there that will put anything else you want on a neckplate at a sensible, affordable cost too.

I'm just the "let's find a way to try this for ourselves!" guy! :D

Still. Mr Trauma did have a very appealing and personal reason as to what he wanted and why - which is his to tell or not as he chooses...

Cheers - C

Well as I saw Mr. Ceri build the phoenix neckplate for russianracehorse I had an epiphany of sorts. You see my Grandmother is from Manchester England and she raised me and made me the man I am today. I asked Ceri if a true Englishman with the old world skill set could make a special tribute neckplate for me in honor of Grandma. I would not ask anyone else and I usually don't ask anyone for anything...but this was special. After a battle with cancer my Grandmother passed away on July 15th, 2008. A week after my Grandmother passed away I had a dream that I had to play the guitar...which is how I ended up here with you guys. I bought a strat. A few months later after doing some research on my strat, Fender told me that the date it was made was on JULY 15th, 2008. So I know know fate wanted me to play THAT guitar. Anyway after my Grandmother passed I got a tribute tattoo for her which i told her I was going to get...all this is tied to my conversation with Mr. Ceri....So here is the story in pictures.......
