Its one of the worst srv copies I have ever seen.Fake decals .It isnt a SRV neck because the truss rod hole is at the nut .wrong tuners ,etc ,etc.Just an amateur piece of crap, but hes not claiming it as a Fender.Great firewood.

Nope, it's just some cat selling a guitar that he built as a tribute to SRV.
JUST LIKE THE ADD SAYS

Well, I gotta agree with most of the other comments here in that the seller does clearly state "Not Fender" and that this guitar is a "Tribute or Look-A-Like"...ya can't really accuse the seller of trying to perpetrate any degree of fraud there as far as his description goes.

That said, there is no freakin' way this guitar is worth $650 Au/$593 US!!!!!!!! Based on the couple of pictures there, this looks like a $150 Squier Affinity with some kind of preamp apparently installed and a couple of stickers on the pickguard. In fact the color of the body actually screams "Bullet"...could be a Bullet with an Affinity neck. Based on the poor relic job to that neck and what looks like a truly botched finish, I'd say this guitar "as is" is maybe worth $100...and that's probably stretching it a bit.

Obviously this really comes down to what I've been blathering about over the past week or so about "knowing what you're buying". Certainly the seller can ask whatever price he/she wants for something...even if said price is truly outrageous for the item being offered (as is the case here). That said, it's up to the -buyer- to decide if it's worth it...this seller isn't forcing anyone to buy it at that price. The sad thing here is that someone with less experience could be tempted to buy it...and if they do, they're gonna start screaming about how they got "cheated" or ripped off. I guess sometimes some people really just have to learn things the hard and expensive way.

Anyways, I sincerely hope that no one here on these forums is foolish enough to buy this one...it's not worth anywhere close to that asking price!

Peace,
Jim

I wonder what the back looks like under that paint. Considering how hacked the rest of the guitar is, I bet the routing job about the battery slot is less than perfect..

Again Lads, the seller states clearly in the auction that it's NOT a Fender, that it's his idea of a Tribute to SRV.

He ain't lying or being deceptive. He's just asking too much for a "bitsa" guitar (bitsa this and bitsa that)

I think a few of us are over reacting. The guy clearly states it is a partsacaster and is not trying to deceive anyone. I personally do not think it looks as bad as some are claiming.
