This is my first post on the forum even though ive been a member for a little while. Anyways, I was wondering if its possible to put a single coil in the bridge position of an hss strat? Im pretty sure it is, because many other strats have HSH pickup routing and have a single coil at the bridge. Besides from buying a new pickguard, are there any other modifications that would need to be done? Thanks a lot.

Stephen

Yeah, it's pretty easy...just de-solder the humbucker put in a single coil and that's it! (and as you said, you'll need a new pickguard. (I think the procedure is more-less the same if the humbucker has 4 wires.
