Play a few and see for yourself. You're the only one who can say if you'd like one over the other.

PRSi are guitars that are built very well. Whether they are better or worse than Fender guitars is up to you.

IMHO

In terms of build quality US PRSi are better made than Standard USA Fenders - but not on par with Fender Custom Shop -
Iv'e never held a PRS private stock so Can't comment on them.

Of course they are totally different sounding guitars.
I have to cover nearly all Genres at a gig so I always take my PRS Custom 22 and my Custom Shop 60's relic Strat. With those 2 I can cover everything I want.

Hope this helps

Sparky

i prefer fender to PRS.

PRS are amazing looking and sounding guitars, but to me, the necks suck really bad. and the headstock is small, so it feels unbalanced. but that is just my opinion.

i think fenders are just better designed guitars. they may not have the neat carved, quilted maple tops, or pearl bird inlays, but they are solid, playable guitars. not to mention cheaper.

I think that PRS are almost more works of art than a musical instrument.

Personally I just don't like the look and feel of a PRS (which is a sin living in Annapolis MD). But they are quality guitars... I just think for that money I would rather a good US Fender or LP.

To me a PRS is just a prettier version of an LP, only with a bad neck. I'm a strat man, always will be.
