The neck is in transit to me. I have all of the other parts I need. The paint needs about 2 1/2 more weeks to cure before final sanding and polishing. I'm hoping to sand and polish all in one day if possible.

So yeah pretty soon.

2 and a half weeks!?!?!?! there is something to be said for taking a bucket load of photos during the build, and once you've FINISHED the build, posting everything... this suspense is killing me!

Believe me, it's killing him too.

Is it ready yet? :)

heheh poor BoK, I remember what the days leading up to my wedding were like. I had enough to worry about let alone thinking about finishing a guitar. Gawd if I even thought about playing the guitar in the week before I'd get the "What are you doing! theres so much to do! we having done [insert task here] yet, and your [insert random relative] said they were going to [insert random task here] but they didn't so now you have to!"

Needless to say it was a stressful time :) Hopefully you're one of those super organised people who has everything sorted already right? Just rock up on the day, ring on, I do, party time... easy right?

Dan

Actually Dan, that's pretty much how it's gonna go...I'm going to be gone for the week before the wedding, so EVERYTHING pretty much has to be done before I go. We're so laid back about this whole thing that it's not much stress. We get along so well that there hasn't been a single cross word exchanged through the whole planning/organizing process. We're both pretty lucky!

Ha - my wife and I just took advantage of all those people who foolishly said; "anything I can do to help?" We farmed out the duties to everyone else and then sat back and enjoyed it.

In fact, I didn't even have to handle my own vows. My wife took care of that - she said; "I do, so does he, yadda yadda - let the party begin!!!"

Our sixth anniversary just last Saturday, so something must be working...

:D - C

Congrats Ceri on the recent anniversary. You're probably home free as I've heard the first 5 years and 11 months are the hardest

We're doing an outdoor affair for the wedding which will be very casual, so not much left to stress about except the weather. A day like today would be perfect going up to 78 with 40% humidity. Not a typical July day for NJ.

My missus is pestering for a ceremony. I'm actually a little scared of the idea, after the last one. What I do really object to is the organization. It's her day, she can organize it. As always, I'm just the cash cow.

A happy woman is a happy man... If she's not happy, well....

One of Kong's sayings is Happy Wife Happy Life...and it does ring true! There's nothing that rhymes with husband though. Coincidence?

I say: "Happy man? Yes she can!"

That's the idea I'm trying to put over to Mrs Ceri. Mrs Ceri on the other hand holds to the belief that she can do whatever she wants regardless whether the man is happy or not. And frankly, she's right.

Is it ready yet? :) I had to get that in before I head west!

Don't drool too much over the neck while I'm gone and YES you need to let the lacquer cure for the entire time!

Okay here is a little tease. I got the neck today and "Oh Boy!". Anyway I laid the parts on the guitar to see how it will look when it comes together. I'm now really itching to get sanding and polishing. Don't know how I'll make it to the 20th. Here is the pic. If I can avoid doing a botch job on the sanding/polishing, (and if it plays as good as I think it's going to look), I'm going to be one happy dude :D . The pau ferro fretboard feels amazing to the touch. Warmoth is a classy outfit. I put in a message requesting them to cut the nut on my internet order and it was shipped right out. I thought maybe they missed the note, but when I opened her up today, nut cut as requested. I did get the exact neck from my earlier pictures.
