I'm not a tele guy, can't help you with that one. The strat looks like a typical American Standard from what I can see...pics of the headstock/tuners/nut/back would certainly help. Even then, without having it in hand with the case and all of the candy, how would anyone know by a picture.

Both of you, thanks for your answers. Now I trust more in them because I know how they work, they buy the Guitars from Guitar Center and other trusted sites, also a lot of people that knows about guitars has make bussiness with them.

They put to the final price their gain, the price increase like US$500 but still is good and reasonable to me.

Thank you again!

Hey, guys! How are you?

I've seen an announce and I'm very confused about this Strat. Would somebody say me if that is a fake?

I am concerned that the text in the ad does not match up with the guitar. Without seeing the back of the guitar and details of the features, from what I can tell it looks pretty close to authentic...but I don't feel right about the logo.

I have know idea what it is priced at....nor do I know what a good price for that guitar would be in the country it is being offered.

So, I need more data, more pictures to determine the answer to your question.

Looks like a legit 2006 American Deluxe cherry burst ash strat. The description in that ad is hot garbage...

I'll also say it looks like a legit circa 2006 American Deluxe Strat. The case is wrong - that red-logo case is one that would have come with an early-mid 1990s Strat Plus/Strat Plus Deluxe/Strat Ultra.

At least it's not spelled "Phender". I'd say it's pretty legit or a SUPERB forgery.

Guys,

You're great!
Thanks for the answers.
One more doubt: on the back headstock picture, there is a 60th plate, but the guitar is a 2006. Is it possible?

Not only possible but that little medallion should be there on a legit 2006 American Deluxe. That was to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the founding of the Fender company in 1946 and was on almost all production-line Fenders (regardless of country of origin) that year.

Thanks, John C!
I was thinking of 1954, birth year of the Strat...

The price of this guitar here in Brazil is around 4000 - 5000 Brazilian Real (BRL); it's a half of the common price, because of this, possible buyers are afraid...

To the OP: thanks for starting this thread and posting all that great info.
I just wanted to add, that yeah, people should definitely be careful. I see Squier necks and worse re-done as USA Fender Stratocaster necks on a daily basis on eBay. Most of the sellers admit the item isnt real, but eventually many of these fakes will end up in some unsuspecting person's hands. It's pretty discouraging honestly, just how bad this has gotten.
So as the OP has stated, ASK QUESTIONS FIRST. Use the resources out there on forums like this one, and research before you buy if something seems off or your knowledge is limited. :)

thanks :D

it's my first fender, and searching about the year, i'm really confused,
The Guitar Dater Project - Fender Serial Number Decoder

it's a CIJ with a serial no. N0+5digits, it should have a "made in japan" not "crafted in japan", that's just it, and it has no stamped on the neck pocket? is it a 93-94 guitar?
