Fender has NEVER (ToMyKnowing) made a production guitar with a 9.5-14" radius, would like to know more from those in the know...you know...we all want to know....no? :)

They don't seem to know exactly WHAT to think judging from their statement.:? Anticipate a blaring of trumpets to herald 'best thing since sliced bread' once again. 8)

Someone knows...read the last lines :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_Ame ... uxe_Series

"As of April 1st, 2010, all American Deluxe series guitars came with a tinted maple neck with compound fretboards, N3 noiseless pickups and the S-1 switching system has been reconfigured with a Passing Lane switch on the humbucker-equipped models."

April 1st is the key word.

Well, I have one on order. From what I'm told I should be receiving it tomorrow. Guess we should all know more then.

I hope that you get one of the upgraded ones like this :

But I think that April 1st is the planned announcement?

That'll be one for the books on April Fool's Day. I'll be interested
in learning about those pickups and the neck.

14" is a pretty flat fretboard...maybe 9.5" at the nut and opening up as it goes?

Then again...maybe they'll wait until the old stock is gone?

Dealers may seek to discount price the discontinued model. In the matter of the neck, I would think the front/back thickness of a modern "C", even at a 14" radius, might not suit shredders. Note that only the HB model, it appears, will have the 'pass through' circuitry. See all this chatter? That's what gives one GAS. :?
