Those Noiseless N3 are... a joke!

It's not a joke!

I've checked the new American Deluxes on Elderly:

http://elderly.com/fmic/items/FNADSH-TGST-R.htm

I agree with StratShooter, Fender's official page hasn't been updated yet with the newer US Deluxe models.

I never heard everything about the new tungsten and sunset metallic finishes. The ash body models are available in the classic cherry sunburst, olympic white pearl and midnight wine transparent colors.

The 2010 American Deluxe dropped Montego Black Metallic w/ Beveled Gold Vinyl pickguard, introduced in 2004.

PS: All US Deluxe Series guitars will feature compound radiused fretboards.

I noticed yesterday that the Elderly links are no longer working. Still aren't. Hmmm, somebody make them take the links down?

I received correspondence from Fender's Consumer Relations that a "new and improved" Am Deluxe Standard HSS would be out by mid-March

I wonder how they've "reconfigured" the S-1 switching, how do the new N3 noiseless pups sound and how the compound radius fingerboard feels and plays?

I ordered one from an ebay dealer who claims to have it in stock and it is shipping this coming Tuesday. Here is a link to the item.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... MEWAX%3AIT

I negotiated a little better deal than this page shows but the specs are here for reviewing. It has a 'passing lane' switch that goes directly to the humbucker with no load no matter where the 5 way is set.

I know I jumed the gun a little quick on this but I am guitarless at the moment and just couldn't wait any longer. I hope I chose well. It looks like an all around great guitar for most any kind of music.

Um... Yes you did. He claims to be an authorized dealer but to my knowledge fender never authorized anyone to sell its products on ebay...

Be carefull. Contact the seller. And btw, this strat is no longuer advertised on elderly http://elderly.com/fmic/items/FNADAS-TSB-M.htm

The answer to this, and any other questions, is coming soon, to your local guitar vendor.

Nobody at Guitar Center or Sam Ash knows a thing. I'm seeing regular American Standards disappear as well, and MIMs replacing them on the wall. Seriously, if Fender plans to roll these out mid-March how can the retailers know absolutely nothing? And nothing on this website by now? I'm ready to buy and spending more time playing Les Pauls in stores.

Fender is presently giving away the American Special prototypes used to demonstrate those new I-AmSpecial strats at the namm show. It's a lower end strat than the AmDlx isn't it? Good strats but entry level american let's say. Right?

If such a new AmDlx exists with all those new features -- new noiseless, compound radius, new S-1 switching etc. -- it would have been announced at NAMM first! Without any doubt, right?

If it's a marketing strategy, the marketing guys & gals at fender are going totally nuts!

If I was in the sftratplexi shoes, I would call that ebay seller right now...

No really, to me, that new AmDlx is a joke. But a good joke anyway!

Those American Specials came out right when the Les Paul faded finishes were flying off the shelves at $800. Comparative price, with a gig bag instead of a case. I just wanted to see the AmDx since it is allegedly about to come out, but started to become partial to getting an American Standard and putting on a roller nut myself, and getting locking tuners later after playing it for awhile. There's one tone with the S-1 switch that was distinctive in my opinion, but not enough to warrant getting a Deluxe.

But like I said, now I can't even find an American Standard HSS, save for that silverburst model.

Hey hey I was event not aware of those Faded LP. I sold my LP Custom when I was 20. I'm knocking hard on my head rigth now. Always wanted to get a new one since but the LP were just way too pricey! Matt, you've made my day!

It's time for me to get one of these! Unless Fender spread the light on those pseudo new AmDlx am very interested in. I'll put to extra cash to get one, but , to be able to get an LP right now makes me wonder...

I played one through a Marshall and a Fender Deluxe yesterday. The faded finish models models have Burstbucker Pros (the tag had the wrong pickups listed but they were BBs for sure) and they sound amazing. You just don't want to put it down.

I will give Fender credit for keeping the cost of a classic American design down to $1000 (for a black model). If you want the lowest end classic design from Gibson you're shelling out twice as much. But for sound and playability alone, those faded finishes are an incredible value. Makes it easier than ever to have good Strat and LP sounds for recording.

Yep. I already have my American series strat that plays and sounds like a dream, to me anyway. I swap the pups for the Hot Noiseless and it rocks. I also play an Ibanez Prestige RG 1570 (I think that a guitar neck couldn't be thinner than that. Flat radius, jumbo frets, very good trem, a joy to play) and now I will be able to complete the trio with an LP.

My mind is set! Thanks to U Matt

I did talk to the supplier on the phone. He told me not to worry, the guitar will ship Tuesday and he assures me its the new model that is just rolling out. I guess I will know in a week. The feedback on the seller is 100% so who knows???

I can't wait. Since I made the decision to start playing again, I haven't had a goods night sleep. It's been 6-7 years since I have played. I am sure my chops are long dead. I don't even own an amp.

I will report back once I get the guitar.

Does the aging (oxidation) added to the chrome parts on the worn strats affect their longevity or contribution to sound quality at all?
