I just got one of these to install on a new body. It did not come with any instructions. Anybody have any hints or tips?

There is a good setup guide in the support section of this site that explains how to set it up. There is also some good videos on YouTube that show you how to set them up and other things you can do with them.

I have an American Standard Stratocaster with the 2 point tremolo.

Is there anything specific that you want to know?

I think my first question is; is this new body pre-drilled for the 2 point trem or are you going to have to drill it yourself? -If- it's pre-drilled, it's pretty straight forward...install the posts, put the bridge in and connect the springs and ground wire and such, put the strings on and adjust the setup. If it's not pre-drilled for the bridge however, that's a whole different can of worms as you have to pay close attention to scale length and bridge placement...mis-drill those post holes and you're going to end up plugging and re-drilling! In other words, do -NOT- try to use a hand drill...use a GOOD drill press to drill those post holes then check, double check and triple check your measurements!!!

The new body is not pre drilled for the trem. I will be drilling the body myself. I have a drill press so that will help. My 1st big question is what size to drill the holes? Same as the studs that mount in the guitar or slightly smaller? Placement of the trim?
I have surfed youtube but have not found the right one yet.
