I know I don't post alot, but I have noticed over the years that alot of users post here requesting mods and what pickups should they use etc etc. I was looking at some info on Lace Pickups and came across this Alumitone pickups. Has anyone got these in their strat? how do they sound? They look pretty cool for a change up, but what do they give you over ya standard single coil?

Also, if you have any pics of these things loaded in your strat, would love to see em.

I always catch myself looking at those too. They have several Gold sets now. I saw them in Musicians Friend. I think you should break down, get them, post a great review and then I'll know if I should get some too!

They look cool.

I am watching this thread. I am also wondering how the people who have them like their Alumitones. I think they look unique, but that is not enough for me to buy them, I need to hear them and see reviews on them.

I personally like the Alumitones. Here is a shot of a recent custom that I built that has shown up on this forum previously. I apologize to those who have seen it again. It now currently resides in Australia.

The Alumitones are quiet and the three singles still have that Strat quack that you would be looking for. For me they just look killer on the right guitar. Here is a shot of mine in Candy Tangerine with a Maple Neck. This one has the three singles with an N-Tuner and a Black Pearl pickguard and gold hardware.
