yup.
i plugged both in to a fender reverb princeton,
the fender classic series sounded decent, the low e sounded a bit too low end no highs or mids. got out of tune after 10 minutes
then i plugged in the squier 50s vibe, it sounded very nice.
stayed in tune.
then i plugged them in to line 6 spidervalve with the bogner tube system.
the squier blew it out of the water.
build on the squier was actually really really good.
fret edges needs smoothing, but not alot. pickups handled gain very well.
totally impressed.

for those on a budget, check those out.

my 2 cents

I don't know how they compare to MIM products but they certainly play well and the pickups are voiced just right. I took my Classic Vibe 50's Tele to band rehearsal last weekend and there was not one complaint from it. The pickups handle volume and moderate gain well without any high end squeal usually associated with less expensive guitars. Play and feel are top notch. I initially bought this guitar for use in my teaching studio but I can't find any reason not to gig with it.

Can't seem to put it down.

Same goes for the Classic Vibe 60's Jazz bass.

I have no complaints with my Classic Vibe 60 Stratocaster. When I bought my CV 60, I was really looking for a MIM Stratocaster as a back up guitar to my Fender HWY 1. After playing many many MIM's Standards, I pulled down the CV 60 Strat and a VM Stratocaster. I finally decided on the CV 60 Strat. I preferred it's tone and the feel was a little better than the MIM Standard Stratocaster. I just could not see paying $150 more for an inferior guitar. Definately a guitar to look into for those on a budget or not a guitar snob.
