Nice guitar. I've always wondered if you get a good Strat quack in the switch position between the mid and bridge pickups with the humbucker in there. I used to have a DiMarzio Super Distortion humb. in the bridge of mine and I lost the #4 position quack.

I've always been a fan of the 57's in sunburst. Having said that it is great looking.. almost looks like a still body of water at night. if that makes any sense.

I love it, always loved the look of Gilmour's Black Strat. Going 4 that look,
and the sound is phenomimal. Next is a switch for the Bridge/neck pups or the S-1 switching. What U all think.

I just finished my strat wiring mod, which simply turns on the neck and
bridge pickup together, using a small toggle switch in the spring cavity.
So I now have the standard 5 way switch, plus the Bridge/Neck setting.
It sounds great and is different than the other 5 settings, maybe my
favorite.
I just took 2 small wires from the switch and connected one to the bridge
lug on the 5-way, and the other wire to the neck lug.
Being placed in the spring cavity, it is out of sight, and does not devalue
the guitar.

Might be the reason why there's a couple of Gilmours sitting in our respective arsenals. 8) I find this idea of hot-rodding an HR fascinating. Remember when I suggested that I was thinking of re-finishing my '89 Pewter Clapton with Grigio Silverstone paint? Niki almost had a stroke. Some things are left best undone, I suppose.
