Hello,
I'm from Germany and there is no German-Fender-Community, so sorry for my bad english :D

I look for a new Guitar so I found the 60s Classic Player (Mexician). I read on the Fender homepage in the guitar description "12'' fretboard radius".

Now, I don't know much about the fretboard radius and so i don't know: are 12'' normal or bigger than a normal size of an Amerikan standard Strat?

thats a little weird cuz on the strat itself it says "modern 9,5 radius"

12' is a little bigger than usual but i find it better to bend strings with it

see it this way 9,5' is better for rythm

and 12' is better for solo

ofcourse you could do both on both but i feel it's better this way

in that order

This great review:
http://www.electric-guitar-review.com/2 ... atocaster/

says that it's 12" which is flatter (like a les Paul) than the more typical modern 9.5

it's all your preference, but I really like the 9.5 (I have the Classic Player 50's strat). I also have a les paul, so I have experience on both. I think for me the 9.5 is the best ballance of comfort and ability to bend.
In general, you can get your action a little lower on the 12 and not fret out when bending.

The Classic Player 60's is 12" the regular Classic is 7.25". Be careful with the differences between the two guiars. The names are similar, but the Classic Players are different (better IMHO) that the Classic.

I was playing one @ guitar center this past weekend. I do have to admit I liked the tremelo which is a modern 2-point tremelo with vintage style saddles. The neck was too big for me. The guitar itself was a tank (very heavy) and the pickups weren't that great but then again it was going for $500.
