I'm looking at getting a little more gain out of the bridge pickup of my strat to push into my amp. Any sugestions on a replacement?

I was thinking about one of those strat sized humbuckers, anyone have these? Saw that Dimarzio makes one 3 times hotter than a normal single coil.

also want to try and get a little more bass in the tone, i notice when i crank my amp up i lose a lot of bass.

thanks.

Welcome to the Forum.

Have you tried playing with your pickup height? Moving your pickups closer to the strings will give you a little more distortion and volume, but a little less sustain.

Play with the amp settings and the tone control on your guitar to get more bass.

i certainly want to reserve as much sustain as possible.

thing about the bass is, i already have my eq set bass - 10, mid - 3, high - 1.5, with the volume at 10.

DiMarzio Virtual Solo. Just put one in my H-1 bridge this weekend. Now when I switch to my neck or mid position it sounds like somebody threw a blanket over my amp in comparison to what is in the bridge.

I may try replacing the alnico 3 magnets in the neck & middle with alnico 5's to see if this will improve the other pickups clarity.
