Before I tear apart my Classic Player '60s Stratocaster, thought I would ask for any tips on getting access to my Truss Rod adjustment screw and how I should go about the adjustment process for this type of neck.

Normally the adjustment is at the headstock and you can adjust while having the strings on and at tension but with the screw at the neck heel on my guitar it doesnt seem like I have any choice but to remove the neck make a turn and put it back on tune up the strings and repeat until I am happly. Is there a better way?

1st thing, detune the guitar to where the strings are very loose but not loose enough, to come off the peg.
2. apply a capo to 1st fret.
3.place alittle piece of masking tape (the one for painting) to the back plate and the back of the body.
4.unscrew the neck from the body. try to be very careful.
5.remove the neck, turn the screw at the base of the neck 1/4 turn.
6.replace the neck onto the body. screw back on.
7. tune the guitar to pitch.

give it at least 24-48 hrs to check the neck desired relief.

or you can remove strings completely, and start off from (3).

good luck.
