Sorry if I ask you, but... why did you buy it?
I bought my first (and last) Strat in 2003, a 2002 Highway One Honey Blonde, maple neck, and still hard believe how beautiful, well made it is and how beautifully it sounds.

Congrats billritt and cwatson on your Strats. I bought my first Strat in August I think. I have 3 now and I don't plan on stopping. My next will an MIA I'm sure unless I find a hell of a deal on a white RW 60s.

Thanks for the well wishes from everyone. As for the new Strat - I thought I always wanted the 3-color Sunburst like Frusciante but saw and fell in love with the Candy Cola. It is soo awesome, the tones ring through like an angel singing.

As for an amp, I have a Peavy now w/ clean and gain settings. What amp do you recommend (I only play in my house so 15w should be very adequate and <$200.) I've been looking @ the Fender SS Frontman series.

I have a Vox 15R and at $135 it was a real bargain, you can also get excellent Vox and Marshall modeling amps for <$200 and their amp models and effects are quite good.
