I spend about 95% of my time playing in the neck pup while the rest of the time i'm in middle/neck or middle/bridge. I love the sound you get from the neck pup of a strat, and i love the sound of the neck pup from this guy.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaPCMW54siQ

Most of the time you will find my Strat selector switches in the Neck position.

Generally neck or bridge position. Ocassionally I use the neck/mid od mid/bridge, but truthfully, not that much.

I spend a lot of time in position 1,2,and5 but it really depends on which guitar and what song I'm trying to play. Key word "trying".

I use all of 'em all the time.

If you've got it, flaunt it (tonewise).

I tend to use whatever works for a particular song, but I really like the middle pickup as my "go to" sound. Using Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots, and the middle pup has a great midrange honk that really sings. Can't get enough of it.

Same was true when I used Dimarzio "Area" pickups. Was NOT true when I had the stock Fender pups.

For what it's worth.

Really depends on the sound I want.. for most harder blues/rock rhythms and leads I'll stay put with the middle pup. When I'm playing in the schools Jazz Ensemble or when a song should have a warmer tone... I play the neck pup. I really don't use the bridge much

When I had the stock pickups in my Squier Standard Strat, I was relegated to just positions 2 & 4--otherwise the hum was unbearable. But since I swapped those out for some Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups, I've been using all three--with a slight preference for the neck pickup. 8)

I used to use the neck pickup virtually all the time until I had my bridge pickup wired to one of the tone pots so it's not so bright and shrill. Now I'm doing a better job of playing with all the pickups, although I don't use the in between sounds very much except for the middle/bridge in funk.

Mostly neck, or neck/mid, or mid, or mid/bridge, or bridge.

Seriously... neck/mid most of the time with the 12Db mid-boost off and Tone on 10 (no load). 8)

Yeah, me too. I use positions #1-5 all over the place. Before I put in Tex Mex pups in my MIM std, I almost always used only 1 or 5 (and never 2,3,4). But afterward, I really learned to appreciate Strat "quack" and utilize the full spectrum.

I think I use the neck pickup more often lately, but I tend to change around a lot. I'm new to strats and haven't played much electric for a long time so the novelty of changing around hasn't worn off.
