Is there a way to make a 09 MIM standard fingerboard glossy. Currently it has tinted Urethane satin finish as per link below.

I love the satin finish at the back of the neck but would like to make it glossy on the fretboard.

Cheers

I actually do like the back of my necks glossy. Although over time on the fingerboards it peels off.

Friend of mine has a CS 56 strat with a glossy neck... back and front. I don't like it as I find it too hard to slide up and down.

Yes, I agree that satin or natural is faster, especially if you tend to sweat.

Some glossy necks are sticy and others arent. The Jimmy Vaughan and the EJ strat are both sticky, the MIA American Standard isnt.I like my necks glossy.I had an American Series strat with a satin neck and hated it,but the satin back is nice.
